Not a very restful night. Followed by a nauseous day. I received platelets and drugs, stayed pretty close to the bed and bathroom today. They hope to get a handle on things before they get any worse. Lots of fun for Mom who hasn't left my side. This STINKS. Pray for a better day tomorrow.
Thank you for all your continued prayers, with them I know I can make it through this. Looking forward to a wonderful Wednesday. All for now toodledoo.
XOXOX
Good Night

Monday April 28 its 6 a.m. the nurse arrives to take vitals and deliver "blood news". Vitals and blood both good. White count is down 0.2, red stayed up from transfusion.
Next Dr. Maris arrived asking how i'm doing, i say great and he has to agree. He actually said i was an over achiever. Just buttering me up for the news that the next 2 wks could be my toughest yet, lets hope not!
3:57 pm anticipating the pull of my chemo plug(armed w/2 oreo cookies) the time finally arrives. What a good feeling. A little antibiotic then they set me free from that iv machine, i feel a little naked, i feel like i'm forgetting something when i dont have my friend "come a long" by my side.
So now we wait. I'll keep ya posted. XOXOXO to everyone. Brenda

HELLO FROM GROUND ZERO ;-)
Hello to all my friends, family and fellow bloggers. I started the day with news from the Doc that my white blood count is down to 0.7!!! Tomorrow it should be at 0 (as expected). My Red Blood count may drop below 25 tonight and that means I will have to have a blood transfusion, but whatever it takes right. My day was spent with phone, company, laps around the 3rd floor and paperwork (bills, relay for life, ect.) So all went well, can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Moms going home with Coy and Kayla is taking over the cot for tonight. Coy is going to download some more pic's soon.
Talk to you again soon!
Thanks for all the comments, it's great to hear from you all!

Hello From Denver
This Sis' brother Coy. Sis has been on the phone all day and can't get to the computer ha ha. Just seems like it. I know how important this BLOG is to all of you and I will push Sis to update you on a regular basis. Sis has just loved getting to talk to everyone. If you get a busy signal don't be discouraged it is happening to all of us. She's a pretty popular gal ;--) , He number is (303)-839-6220 if you give to give it a run, it goes directly to her room. I know she would want me to thank you for all your prayers, support, visits, cards and letters. We all have been overwhelmed with everyones generosity and care for her, what a blessing. It's been awesome for Jeff and I to be able to travel 30 minutes to visit Mom and Sis. We persuded Mom to stay with Hannah, Luke and I two nights while Brian was staying with Sis. I feel for Kirk and Leigh they are on the other side of the state and they have had sick kids so they have to hold off right now. It really brightens her day to get some kind of contact from home, family and friends. The benefit of that is we get to see her big beautiful smile!!
Here's an update on what's going on with Sis, today she is on her 5th of 7 days of CHEMO. She is doing wonderful, with still no side-effects from the treatments. Mom and her take laps around the 3rd level and she's trying to keep her WW girls happy!!! Her white blood count is now at 108 and was 3400 yesterday. She is now going into the stage of no immunity and hopefully soon it will be zero so they can start building it back up. We are thinking they will do another bone marrow test early next week to give the Dr's direction on what the strategy is going forward. Sis will update you with more tomorrow.
Love you all for loving my Sis
Coy
P.S. Mom and Sis want to give their prayers and thoughts towards Rod Malo and his surgery, keep us updated. Love you Rod
Sincerely,
Rod's Girlfriend (CHICK)

Well what do you know, i made it thru another day, and what a day it was. To back up when i arrived sat they attempted to get a bone marrow to no avail, they told me they had enough blood that they could just test that.. Tuesday rolled around and quess what the blood got lost in "lab space" so now they needed bone marrow again. The doc tried to get it out of my sternum once again to no avail. He then sent me to the er radiology where they tried for an hour, finally we have hit BONE MARROW. So that was tuesday. Brian spent the night with me, coy took mom home with him so sleep in a real bed.
Now wednesday and round 3 of the "BIG GUNS" chemo its a alittle more laid back day. I have to go right this minute to get it started so will write more later.

My First Post
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post to keep everyone updated on what's going (wrong) I mean ON with me.
Thursday April 17th I went to a Health Fair/Blood Draw in Sundance and then by Friday afternoon received a call from the lab stating that I had high white blood count of 129,000 (normal is between 3000-11,000). Then received a call from the Doctor said that I need to get into a car start driving to Sioux Falls immediately. I asked if there was a hospital in Denver because that was where Coy and Jeff live, so at least I would have family close. Brian and I took off around 8:o0 headed to Denver, got to Coy's by 2:30 a.m and then left by 6 a.m. in the morning to the hospital. I was admitted and started the reduction of white blood cells immediately. They said my white blood cell count at that time 149,000, so that wasn't good. Then by the next morning I was at 34,000 and am now at 24,000. All the nurses are helpful. Mom is down here with me, so that is nice. The brothers, sister-in-laws, nephews and cousins have been coming and it has been great to see them.
I have recieved so much love and encouragment from my friends and family through e-mail and phone calls which is greatly appreciated, thanks again.
At 1:30p.m today I started my main chemotherapy (*THE BIG GUNS*), so far no side-affects from that which is a blessing for sure! I met a husband where his wife was admitted the same day and she will start chemo tomorrow. He wants me to meet her for support.
I will keep everyone posted on how everything goes on a daily basis if I can, AND I WILL!
THANKS AGAIN, I LOVE YOU ALL!
