Monday April 28 its 6 a.m. the nurse arrives to take vitals and deliver "blood news". Vitals and blood both good. White count is down 0.2, red stayed up from transfusion.
Next Dr. Maris arrived asking how i'm doing, i say great and he has to agree. He actually said i was an over achiever. Just buttering me up for the news that the next 2 wks could be my toughest yet, lets hope not!

3:57 pm anticipating the pull of my chemo plug(armed w/2 oreo cookies) the time finally arrives. What a good feeling. A little antibiotic then they set me free from that iv machine, i feel a little naked, i feel like i'm forgetting something when i dont have my friend "come a long" by my side.

So now we wait. I'll keep ya posted. XOXOXO to everyone. Brenda

  1. Brenda, It was great talking to you this morning. I made it to Cheyenne and it was a great day to drive but when I got out of the car the wind about blew me over. I went shopping and I wish you and Vickie were here to help me. I went to dinner at Red lobster. Remember the time we actually left a bisquit in the basket. Well it didn't happen tonight. Thinking I might get to see you this week made the trip more worth it. I hope you WBC stayed down and your RBC were up. Love you lots. Barb

  3. Holy cow, sister! Way to knock that doc's socks off with your stamina. You ARE tougher than a $2 steak. If you have tough times the next 2 weeks you've got the world behind you and your faith! The benifit dinner of Terri Thompson and company is tonight. I made 3 big cakes. Kayla is bringing the video camera for the dinner and then you can watch it. Well, have a great day. Squeeze Chicken for me and tell her how much we have been thinking about her, oh yeah, and you!! Love ya, Marlene

  8. Don't know if you will get this, but I sure hope you do. Been trying to get on your web page for months now and keep running into problems with our computer so I am trying it at Pat's house. The walk last night was so great but everyone there wished you could have been with us. You are badly missed by so many and our little town isn't the same without you home. Want so much to see you but you're where you need to be right now. I think of you every day and I am sending lots of positive prayer your way. Love ya lots!
