Wens. Aug. 27
Hi. Blogger intern on board!!!! Much better night last night, fighting to keep her temps. down and they seem to have a handle on the back, leg, and head aches. They have sent acouple blood samples off to the lab. and hopefully we will hear something back today. They did find a bacteria in her urine and were able to get her set up on "one more antibiotic" but she already has positive results with that .. The Dr. is having her checked for the "Graft vs. Host" feels that would be alittle soon but who knows with her, you know just Getter- DONE approach!!!!! She had. to have platelets early this a.m. She is very drugged out but for me this is much easier to sit and watch than her in pain!!!!! And this to will pass!!!!!! Howard & Sue are down here today its so hard not to see them but for right now other than the long walk down the hall to the bathroom I am staying away from everyone that just could have a different bug, as well as I wouldn't want to take any chances that Brenda's might be something bad for the next guy. Everyone down at this end is actually fragile. She looks like someone set her in the sun and left her to bake soooooooooo red and a little like hives the whole upper half of her body, therefore she will have a skin culture today this should determine if it is GVH or something else... Its always so-so-good to hear from HOME!!!!!!! I so look forward at least 50 times aday seeing who or if any new comments thanks for that and everything else How blessed we are!!!!!!!! Hopefully this day will only be full of good things and tomorrow you will be hearing from Brenda herself.. Love to all "chick"
I will continue to lift Brenda up in prayer. Mom sends her love, Chicken. She is in Canon City, she has asked for an address, I will send the one on Brenda's blog. Room 3406? May Brenda rest well, and may her rest be sweet. May she wake refreshed, renewed and expectant for the blessings to come.

Hi Chicken! Sounds like you are taking good care of Brenda. I will put my angel back in my pocket and pray for her to feel better soon. You both are so strong and I know you can get through anything. HUGS from HOME!

Chicken and Brenda,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are continuing the blog and I pray that Brenda will feel better soon. You are such a blessing to her. Know that we all continue to think of you daily.
I am glad that she is able to sleep through most of this and when she wakes up she will feel more like herself.
Take care of yourselves.
Love, Joanne
So glad you are blogging Chicken, I really look forward to seeing how our girl is doing. Sounds like she has had a couple of rough days but remember she has to climb the hill to get to the top. And what an awesome view from there.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers your way.
Love ya,
Vickie
Hello!! I hate hearing that Sissy isn't feeling so well..she has been doing so awesome. Keep fighting and stay strong both of you!! Today was Peyton's first day of gymnastics. She loved it, in fact when it was time to go she through a rock at me, hit me in the back and threw a fit because she didn't want to leave. That was fun:( So needless to say she got a pretty good spanking on the rear-end...Little Turd!! Anyways, I was curious how Peyton's 1st day would go, but I think she definitely loves it!! Anyways, Kirk said Sissy sounded a little down..I guess this was to be expected :( Just know that we love you both so much and are thinking of you every minute!! Love you..
ReplyDeleteKirk Leigh and girls
Hi, just getting ready for bed and wanted to write you a line or two. Kirk talked to Brenda tonight and thought she was feeling pretty rough. I hope those days will go fast and be few and far between. I'm sure these days are pretty long for both of you. Went with Leigh to Peyton's gymnastics class and it was pretty entertaining. She hopped and jumped and had lots of fun and wasn't too happy when it was time to go home. Trying to get everything done for the house so they can get it finished up but there never seems to be enough time. Well, we're keeping the prayers for both of you and thinking of you often. Take care. Love, Amy
ReplyDeleteJust had to check this before I went to bed. So sorry things are a little down right now. Hope tomorrow shows some improvement. It just has to with all the people everywhere pulling for her. I'm sure she will feel that strength. It was chilly here today. Finally warmed up to 75 this afternoon. Another chilly night and then it is supposed to start warming up again. I'm not ready to give up the warm weather, yet. I'm tempted to send Cody a picture of his room. It doesn't look like a pig pen anymore!!! There's actually a bed in there. Thinking about you all the time. Love, Helen
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda & Chicken,
ReplyDeleteI hope Brenda had a better night and you got some rest. We are all praying for you guys and know Brenda is going to get stronger with each day. I read the blog each day to keep up with her progress. Who would have ever thought that you would be a blogger. You've come a long way baby. It's only 40 degrees here this morning, but a beautiful day. Will be so glad when Brenda is better and you both can come home. Give Brenda a hug for me. Love you guys.
Bonnie

We still continue praying and sending our love for you all so things will start improving soon I am sure. Got Hayden's sr pic's yesterday. I must say he did a pretty good job! Kind of a handsome guy if I do say so myself! Now to decide which ones I like best which will be a chore! First football game next week hope we do ok.

Chicken and Brenda
ReplyDeleteChicken you are getting really good at this blogging. I talked with Brenda last night and I can't believe how great she sounded. I doubt she remembers me even calling. She sounded a little drugged. I got my hands folded and talking to the Lord and asking that it not be H vs. G. God bless you both. I love you lots.
