  1. Hi Hon, I guess we are all just in shock and there are no words to express how we feel. Just know that you are probably the most loved person in the world and still have family and friends praying for you. We love you Brenda. Love Amy and Gus

  3. Brenda,
I for one am not giving up hope, I still think there is "something" out there that will help you. Your family has been super wonderful and maybe if you get to come home, your friends and family here can also be super wonderful and all your white cells will grow stonger and overpower that nasty cancer. If strength could cure cancer, you would be healthy as a horse. Your stength and positive attitude has been an inspiration to all of us. After all you have gone through, I would feel like an ass complaining about a migrane. Our prayers are still being said for you and God will do what he thinks is best. We don't always agree with him but he always has the last say. Stay strong and we will talk soon.
    Love ya, Charlene

  8. Brenda - You have never met me, but I have followed your story for a while. I may have even seen you in my endless days in the hospital. My wife fought this same disease for a long, long time. There were many ups and downs and though eventually she lost her battle she never gave in. We spent over 14 months straight in PSL between Bone Marrow North, South, 3B and Spaulding rehab. There are no words that provide any kind of solace at this point. The only thing I can offer is just keep up the fight. Fight for whatever is important to you - whether it be "quality" or "quantity". Go for it. Just never leave anything on the table.

My wife's name was Patty Kromer. If you read this before you leave the hospital ask any of the nurses about her and they will tell you about her - she left her mark there in PSL!

    Our best wishes to you!

  22. Brenda, The first thing that strikes me is how in the middle of all you are going through, you still worried about how to give all of us your latest news. You have been so strong and positive, so much so that you have even touched strangers' lives. Please know our thoughts are constantly with you. Love you, CA Barb

  27. Bren,

Tomorrow we all gather to give thanks, on days like this it is hard to be thankful. I want you to know that I will be giving thanks that I have called you my friend for the last 31 years. Thank you for that opportunity..

Make whatever decision you need to make, but know you have friends who love and are praying for you near and far away.

    Love you babe, Maynard. :)

  28. I am so sorry Brenda, I can't imagine what you have gone through and what you and your family are going through. I wish there was a magic button that we could push to take this all away and make life as it was before. My heart breaks for you all and I will keep praying for a miracle. You are in our thoughts and prayers and most of all in our hearts. You are truly a beautiful person inside and out.
