HI EVERYONE,
CAN YOU BELIEVE ITS THURSDAY ALREADY? WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE A SEMI-SLOW DAY BUT THE DAY IS ALMOST GONE AND WE ARE STILL GOING. STARTED OUT WITH THE PUVA TREATMENT, WHICH WE ARE GOING TO STOP FOR AWHILE. NEED TO MAKE SURE I AM NOT HAVING A DRUG REACTION(I HAVE TO TAKE PILLS TO INCREASE THE EFFECT OF THE SUN BEFORE TREATMENT), ALSO YESTERDAY THE DOCTOR PUT ME ON ANOTHER PILL TO LOWER MY WHITE BLOOD CELLS AND DECREASED THE STEROID BY 10 MG SO LETS HOPE TO HEAVENS THAT THEY WILL ALL PLAY NICE TOGETHER. I READ IN MY DISCHARGE PAPERS THAT THEY WANTED TO TAPER OFF THE PREDNISONE EVERY WEEK AND ITS BEEN A MONTH SO I REALLY NEED OFF THE STUFF SO MY DONOR CAN TAKE OVER, BUT I HAVE TO BE ON IT BECAUSE THE CANCER KEEPS GROWING AND THE DONOR CANT DO BOTH, BUILD NEW CELLS AND FIGHT THE CANCER. WOW WHAT A TANGLED WEB.
MY FRIEND DEBBIE IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE HER TRANSPLANT TODAY, WE SAW HER YESTERDAY SHE LOOKS GOOD. TODAY KATHY AND RICK ARE COMING OVER TO THE APARTMENT TO VISTIT US SO WE WILL GET THE SCOOP ON HOW SHE IS DOING.
I WONT HAVE INTERNET UNTIL MONDAY UNLESS WE GO TO JEFFS OR COYS SO WE WILL CATCH UP ON MONDAY IF NOTHING ELSE. LOVE, BRENDA AND FAM
Sounds pretty complicated to me how all that works with the meds/donor. I'm sure they know what they're doing and if it all works, that's what we want. Sure hope all goes well and is going well for the other girls. You are all such fighters. I hope you have a great weekend and will be looking forward to hearing more from you soon. ReplyDeleteHi, here in Delta with Leigh and Kirk so I thought I would check and see if you had any news. I sure hope the donor starts working and you can get control of the cancer cells. I'm not being able to do much at our house here until we get our other house sold because we don't have any furniture or anything much to put in it. Leigh just got home from practice so I guess I'd better go see about dinner. You guys take care and we are praying that things start improving for you. Amy

ReplyDeleteHello!! Sounds like things are getting even more crazy there for you. Just keep hanging in there and keep your head up. This weekend is going to be nuts as both Kirk and I leave tomorrow for long trips. Kirk will be home around 2:00 am on Sat. and I will be staying the night in Steamboat Springs with 35 teenage girls...lucky me! Then I will be home sometime Sat. evening. ReplyDeleteI believe that the young, strong donor boy can fight both your cancer and build new cells. God and Charlene say it is possible. I will never give up on the medical system and their ability to find something that will work for you. You probably think they have given you every drug possible but it only takes that one special one that will do the trick. It has been a long haul but don't get discouraged. Keeping your spirts up is more than half the battle. Everytime I talk to you, you are so up beat and that is good -- just keep it up and you will get through this unplanned time in your life. Will be waiting to hear how that bone biopsy on Wed. comes out. Good news I'm sure. Talk to you later.
