Hello Friends and Family.
Thank all of you who shared our day for Sissy, we felt honored and blessed for your attending.
I am so in hopes this gives us a place to go that we can feel close and can share our feelings with her. I hope this was what we needed for some closures.
When Coy wanted to do the service, truthfully I was nervous!!!! But he wanted someone who knew Brenda heart and soul, someone that loved her dearly, and someone that respected her views , someone who was going to speak of and about her with a pure heart. I was so proud of him, he did such an awesome job, he did his sister proud as well as the rest of the family. Coy and his wife Hannah sang Allan Jackson's new song "Sissy's Song" that song just had to have been meant for our sissy as well as his sissy..... Kirks wife Leigh wrote a letter to him and explained our sissy's ordeal and they did answer her
All the kids were home and it was wonderful!!!! I just have the most darling GRAND KIDS..... That was for the most part probably all the trips home for this summer.
After a couple of way to busy weeks, my Mom ended up in the hospital YES on her 92nd birthday!!!! She was a very sick little lady when they got her here, but making progress everyday,, today she looks good, feels much better and sounds much better, should get to go home in a couple more days if she has regained her strength.
Hope this finds everyone well and"DRY". Love to all Chick and Family
.
Thanks for the comments Mom, I like when you are proud of me and it was definitely an honor to talk about Sis and her effect on so many people!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Coy
Coy you did a wonderful job with Brenda's service. You did say everything about Brenda that all the rest of us were also thinking. It was a beautiful day in an equally beautiful location on the hill. It was real nice to see all the family in a more casual atmosphere and to have lunch on top of it. As Virgil says this family sure does food good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us share in honoring Brenda's memory and for giving us a place to go and talk to Brenda, bring her flowers and ring her chime.
Charlene & Virgil
Chicken and all,
ReplyDeleteI thought Coy did awesome as well, you have a family to be so proud of! Hope your Mom is doing better -she is a special lady! We had a golf tournament this weekend and the weather was great!! The golf wasn't near as good but it was fun anyway!!
You all are always on my mind-take care! Maybe will see ya on the hill. Trudy
Chicken and Family,
ReplyDeleteThe service was wonderful and no one could have done it better than Coy did. He said the words we were all thinking about Brenda, and what a beautiful location. I swear that song was meant for her! It was great to see the whole family again and is nice to know everyone is doing okay. I think of you all quite often, especially when I am missin my buddy! I hope "Grandma" gets better and can get back home soon.
Take care everyone!

I haven't been here for awhile, and wanted you to know I think of Brenda often. She remains a candle during our dark times with my mom. She makes mom fight harder, so she can beat this terrible disease. I am so glad you have been able to keep up her blog. You have an amazing family!! Much love to you all~Becky Prall
ReplyDeleteChicken,
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you but wish we would have had more time to catch up.
Carol and I were wondering if you would give us a phone number so that we can keep in touch. I have an address in Sundance but that is all. Are you home at night or do you stay at the camp all the time? Of course, we got home that night and had so many questions!
Take care.
Love, Joanne
