Hello All...
To all who so graciously remembered "Brenda" on this 1st. Anniv . THANK YOU!!!! Somehow it is so helpful to know even though life goes on she was remembered and valued at this time as always..
The centerpiece is beautiful, Thank you WW. Girls. I would bet Sissy knew you would be the group of her best friends that would go right ahead and "LOOK AFTER MOM", she loved each and everyone of you and though it all I can see why.....
Somehow I ended up at Hillside not remembering it was their open house, and there they had remembered to go ahead and make her favorites, "snowballs" and "peanut butter fudge". Open house and Biker Wens. were 2 days of work she really got a kick out of...... I could so picture her in her little Xmas vest, blinking pin, earrings and Santa hat, just waiting for that person to come in that she could show what their spouse, friend, parent,or whatever had been in and picked out and wanted.. These being the time she could help someone, give something of herself and make someone HAPPY......
Her dream was to overcome and beat her illness, come home and try to give back to all for what she had received and been blessed with from all her friends, family and community. There is no doute in my mind she would have done it and done it in her own special way.
This week-end Brian and I made our way to Cheyenne and had breakfast with Kathy and Stacie. What a wonderful, exciting, tearful morning we had. Time went way to fast, they look wonderful even though they each have alot of hurdles to clear, I think they both fear they will never be back to normal, the normal before the illness and they mourn this....What beautiful girls they are, inside and out..... Its easy to feel Brenda's connection to all of them and theirs to her.... THANK YOU BRIAN for making sure I got to go and sharing this time as you have from day one I know he has a special place for each of the girls and their spouses as they all banded together to face the ugliness of the illness.
I would wish for everyone to go to Hannah's blog and read her letter to Heaven, what a tribute . Thanks !!!!! www.hannahhappenings.blogspot.com
Still waiting for the arrival of our little Emry Dee, was due the 6th. Pretty smart baby I think who wouldn't want to stay all snug and warm, waiting is hard for Momma I am sure....
Will update when our little blessing arrives....
Another thing is the second Sunday of Dec. is the day for all parents to light a candle at 7:00p.m. for their lost love and hopefully others will join in and light up the night in remembrances........
Merry Xmas to all
Love to All Chick and Family
