Hello All-
It is Leigh again and we wanted to inform you all about a website called www.compassionatefriends.org. It is a website that my mom found that is for people who have lost a child at any age for any reason. Each year they hold a candle lighting ceremony for those children, and this year it is on Saturday Dec. 14th at 7:00 p.m. We would like to hold one for Brenda. After discussing it with Chicken we decided that it would be so awesome if you could all light a candle at your own home to honor Brenda and say a prayer for her all at the same time which is 7:00p.m. on the 14th. We thought about holding a candle lighting ceremony ourselves but with organizing everything else, there just isn't enough time:) This is such a neat thing and just gives us one more opportunity to honor such an amazing person who we all miss so much. Let us know what you think and mark it on your calendars!!

Brenda's Family,
Lighting a candle is a wonderful idea. Lighting a candle is a sign of hope. A hope for a cure, a hope for peace, a hope for coming together to love and remember such a special person. I have candles burning in my house all the time, but now it will always have a new meaning. The light will now always burn for Brenda. As she watches over us from above, we will light her way.
Bless you all with continued strengh.
Charlene & Virgil
To all Brenda's family

What a great idea. I'm sure we won't need lights to see in Sundance on Sat. night with all the candles that will be glowing. Love to all of you, Helen
My candle is ready to light up Sundance in remembrance of a wonderful friend. I will miss her as I know all of you will. My love & prayers to all of Brenda's wonderful family.

The Rose Still Grows Beyond The Wall
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding her sweetness day and night.
As she grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier heights,
She came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward she crept with added strength,
With never a thought of fear or pride,
She followed the light through the crevice's length,
And unfolded herself on the other side!
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before;
And she lost herself in beauties new,
Breathing her fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve,
And make us faint, or stumble, fall?
No! Let us faith and hope receive:
Our rose still grows ... beyond the wall!
Sharing her beauty far and wide,
Just as she did in days before,
Just as she did on the other side,
Just as she will for evermore.

We will be lighting our candle in honor of Brenda.
Thinking of you
Brenda (Clark) Harris and family
Will have candle at the ready. It will be as if night leaves for a bit on the 14th at 7 when all the many candles are lit. My prayers are with you all and as many have already said if there is anything that I can help with I would gladly do it in a second. Love to you all Trudy
Chicken, I thought that it was so ironic that the candle article was in the paper on Sunday. I can see we will have a lot of candles lit for her on the 14th. The point of it was to light candles around the world for all the children in the world that have left us. They do it every year on the second Sunday in Dec. for an hour at 7PM. We will always remember Brenda but that day of the year will become extra special for all of us. My candle will be ready and I will pray that she watches over us all. Love, Amy
Hi Chicken and Family, Brenda will have a bright candle glowing at our house. We are so very sorry, her memory will be cherished by all of us that loved her so. Let us know if you need anything. Our thoughts at prayers are with you all.
Love,
Lance and Janet

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We may not be in Sundance, but we'll be lighting a candle in Coeur d'Alene.
God Bless.
