Hi. Did I mention the (She can turn on a dime) well once again she has. Seems she only rates a good day long enough to get us excited thinking we have one more thing behind her,and the positive aspect of that is I guess she does, she just dives off into the next bump in the road without warning.. Last eve she had so overcome all the obstacles she had dealt with through out the day. At midnight labs she was running a temp,and laboring for breath which was very scary for her , and she had once more turned fire engine red. Dr. came early , ordered her a steroid shot,& sent her to Xray. This afternoon she received her last chemo and something to help get rid of the water. I do believe the steroid shot may have been the ticket as her redness is fading, her eyes are back in her head, and her face takes on the resemblance of Brenda once again. Am so grateful things are better now but alittle afraid to think that this could be the end of the worst as I keep taking the wrong road I like the straight and narrow and she keeps taking the ole bumpy one with twists and turns. Her Xrays showed she did have fluid in her lungs., the steroid will also help with that. She was wanting us to ask "grandma" what to do cause she knows about everything!!!!! Believe me I was tempted to do just that . This is how she rest ,her mind never shuts down hopefully when she gets rid of some water and can catch a good breath she can have a peaceful and restful sleep. She did test positive for GVH but with the smallest of number this s a very good sign, and with the steroid shot it should keep it at bay It so feels like I am spreading doom gloom but this is how it is. If one more thing would have happened to day I was calling in the Wyo. troops. I remembered reading Kathy's blog someone had sent her this and reminded me "That God didn't promise days without pain , Laughter without sorrow, sun without rain . But he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. This has read so true for all these girls, and all that love them!. Will keep you informed!!!! And keep remembering we ARE ONE DAY CLOSER THAN WE WERE YESTERDAY!! Love to all chick

Hi Remember this computer stuff is very very new to me,well I wrote and sent a blog around 3:00p.m. Sent it and this thing told me I had successfully sent it,but it shows up no where, and even though Brenda is feeling soooooooooooooo much better this p.m. she just doesn't feel like messing with my doings. So if sometime somewhere this shows up we will have 2 for this day, therefore I will make a short summary of my ramblings early. She did not have a good night or a.m. but came back this afternoon to almost feeling human......... They have successfully kept her temp. down, the rash is so much better, they have kept control of the blood pressure but that medicine makes her heart race, and has shortness of breath . They have her on oxygen all the time now. With all that ,she truly is better than she was Tues.-Fri... Tomorrow she will take her last chemo. this they have given her Day +1-+3-+6 & +11 which is tomorrow. Due to her never being totally rid of cancer the first 3 rounds of chemo this is to make sure there are no sneaky little Brut's hanging out wondering where his buddies are, and interfering with her new cells. This is also the round that can and most generally does cause terrible mouth & throat sores, I so pray she can avoid this as she has taken extra precaution's with a rinse they provide. Cleo dropped by, finished Brenda's walk with her and reported Allan is on the mend, very tired, sore and uncomfortable,but pulling thro. Thank God for blessing the Roberts family. For any of you who might be interested , I am so excited to report both Kirk & Leigh had winning ball games for their opening season. Things are starting off right. And last but not least , we want to wish MARSHA a happy birthday and many many more... Won't tell how old she is BUT I was 16 this day back then.... Hi. Again I will attemt to fill in and let everyone know how its going. She felt good this a.m. and thought she would be up doing this but afternoon finds her again with a fever and temps rising, a reading of high blood pressure ,great more drugs , But whatever it takes. Her rash was so much better this a.m. so thought we were flying high, this morn her urine was pure blood but that also cleared up they feel that her body is sluffing off the old bad cells, chemo related. She also woke u p with the bloody eyes,all swollen and buggy looking, I knew she was going to freak when she saw herself as the day we got her they were wheeling a lady out with those eyes besides many more things needless to say!!!! But for sure she has never got the sight out of her mind but nether did the rest of us, so sorry she had to witness it and worry about it. Today she is getting more blood and platelet's and enough drugs to put her back in her own little world.. The good thing is we did have good more than half day!! Kind of tense moment as what ever they gave her for the blood pressure,gave her alittle panice attack, heart racing,and very anxious,that was also fixable with another drug.. Geez how many drugs can your body take and ever return to healthy???????????????????????? Sorry to everyone I talked to earlier to have to let you down but today we started off good ,tomorrow we'll just start all over maybe it will last all day!!! We can hope..... She does have the ability to turn on a dime , next time it will be for the good....Thanks for caring it means so much to all of us.. It's a long weekend hope everyone has a wonderful & safe one... Hi.. Once again I will fill in and hopefully tomorrow she will be back to her old self. Had a night with little sleep, besides the usual blood draws she had to give a couple extra due to her temp s. Good news is the ones sent to the lab Tues night didn't grow anything bad, therefore no bacteria in her blood . She also had to get blood again last night along with Mag. & phos.and today very few fluids as her sodium level is depleting. Today they are for sure going to do the skin culture if the changing of antibiotics doesn't help with the rash, today it is full body. Yesterday she started the cycle of losing all her hair again!!!!!!!!! Oh well I think she has a really cute little head!!!!!!!!!!! She was kinda liking the idea of hair again even if the color was somewhat lighter here and there maybe even a little curl it looked to me like... As of late a.m. she is really rallying around....Can actually complete a whole sentence oh my if it hadn't been so scary, it would have been really funny she has been out there I think she now even has the tractor fixed,!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iam hoping all this may be from the antibiotic they changed this a.m. Keep your fingers crossed!! But the amount of drugs she is on it could be hard to pin point just which one is the culprit.. Guess if you can't get around it you'll have to go through it, we may not be there yet today but for sure we are closer than we were yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will sign off as they getting ready for the skin culture... Hi. Blogger intern on board!!!! Much better night last night, fighting to keep her temps. down and they seem to have a handle on the back, leg, and head aches. They have sent acouple blood samples off to the lab. and hopefully we will hear something back today. They did find a bacteria in her urine and were able to get her set up on "one more antibiotic" but she already has positive results with that .. The Dr. is having her checked for the "Graft vs. Host" feels that would be alittle soon but who knows with her, you know just Getter- DONE approach!!!!! She had. to have platelets early this a.m. She is very drugged out but for me this is much easier to sit and watch than her in pain!!!!! And this to will pass!!!!!! Howard & Sue are down here today its so hard not to see them but for right now other than the long walk down the hall to the bathroom I am staying away from everyone that just could have a different bug, as well as I wouldn't want to take any chances that Brenda's might be something bad for the next guy. Everyone down at this end is actually fragile. She looks like someone set her in the sun and left her to bake soooooooooo red and a little like hives the whole upper half of her body, therefore she will have a skin culture today this should determine if it is GVH or something else... Its always so-so-good to hear from HOME!!!!!!! I so look forward at least 50 times aday seeing who or if any new comments thanks for that and everything else How blessed we are!!!!!!!! Hopefully this day will only be full of good things and tomorrow you will be hearing from Brenda herself.. Love to all "chick"

HI!! Today to keep eve ryone updated I will be Brenda's not so sexy secretary a.k.a. blog intern. Today she is ground "0" so all the dreaded has been arriving starting day before yesterday and hitting pretty hard last night, running a temp. aches all over,sick to her stomach,etc. Been so lucky so far, but we knew this would happen , just not when. They are able to keep her comfortable with more drugs but also makes her very tired , that's not all bad though as she can sleep through it and sleep is a good healer.anyway that is Dr. Chickens theory. Hopefully we are a short time away from her new numbers starting and growing everyday!!!! Our little friend Staci got to go home today, what a little trooper she is. Her little boys got to skip school to come with Dad to get her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They are all for sure riding on cloud 9 as we are for them.. Kathy ,thank goodness seems to be back on the road to recovery, we have got to teach her to drive as she is hitting way to many bumps in the road. Saw Cleo & Gay last eve. and thank goodness Allan was out of a successful surgery,and resting well.. Seemed Cleo was needing to do the same had been a long hard day for them also. Due to Brenda's numbers I'm afraid to visit another floor. Until tomorrow!!!!!!Chick

HELLO,

WE SURVIVED OUR FIRST NITE IN OUR NEW DIGS. WOKE UP AT 7 TO A BIG TRUCK WITH A CRANE LIFTING METAL TO THE TOP OF OUR ROOF, LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COMING THRU THE WINDOWS EACH TIME. DIDNT KNOW IF WE SHOULD LEAVE OR TAKE OR CHANCES.
HAD THE ROUTINE MONDAY CHEST X-RAY, FOLLOWED BY A NICE BACK AND FOOT MASSAGE. FELT EXTRA GOOD AS MY HEAD AND BACK HURT ALL NITE. HAD A GOOD MORNING BUT AFTERNOON I ENDED UP TAKING QUITE A FEW MEDS FOR NAUSEA, HEADACHE AND BACKACHE. FINALLY STARTED FEELING BETTER THIS EVENING SO WENT FOR A WALK THEN RODE THE BIKE AND FINALLY TOOK A SHOWER. NOW IT IS TIME FOR BED.

WHILE OUT FOR HER WALK MOM SAW CLEO, SHE SAID ALAN IS DOING WELL.

HI,

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MOVED!!AGAIN!!~ WE HAVE MOVED TO THE CORNER OFFICE HEHE DIRECTLY UNDER A CONSTRUCTION GARBAGE SHOOT, IT IS A VERY LARGE YELLOW SLIDE LOOKING THING, TOMORROW WE WILL PROBABLY GET TO SEE AND HEAR HOW IT WORKS. BUT BUT WE ARE NOT COMPLAINING WE ARE JUST LUCKY TO BE HERE AND DOING WELL. THE SMALLNESS OF IT WILL KEEP US CLOSE AT ALL TIMES, THATS GOOD. THERE IS ONE BAD THING MOM HAS TO USE THE BATHROOM /SHOWER IN THE MAIN AREA, IT IS ALOT FURTHER AND SHE HAS TO GO RIGHT BY THE NURSES STATION AND EVERYONE ELSES RMS BECAUSE WE ARE AT THE TOTAL OPPOSITE END OF THE HALL FROM THE MAIN DOORS. DR. MARIS CAME IN AS WE WERE TRYING TO GET SETTLE, THE RM WAS FULL OF PEOPLE AND THERE WAS STUFF EVERYWHERE(CAN U PICTURE IT?BECAUSE I DID HAVE TO PACK FOR A 3 MONTH STAY, NOT TO MENTION MOMS STUFF) HE LISTEN TO MY HEART AND LUNGS, ASK HOW I WAS FEELING AND SAID NOT TO GET TOO COMFORTABLE IN THE NEW ROOM BECAUSE I COULD BE LEAVING IN 7 TO 10 DAYS. WHOOOOOOWE, I HAVE SOME WORK TO DO. NOW THAT IS WHY I CAN NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT MY SMALL, CORNER, SEMI-DARK, UNDER THE SLIDE/CONSTRUCTION AREA, SM CLOSET, GROSS SHOWER, NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR THE BIKE AND COT AT THE SAME TIME,TOO FAR FROM THE BATHROOM, HAVE TO CHANGE PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS AGAIN, NO PLUG IN FOR MY COMPUTER NEXT TO THE TABLE, END OF THE HALL NEW ROOM!!!!!!! NOW THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTE WAS TO PASS ALONG MY NEW NUMBERS, SO HERE GOES.

TINA BROUGHT MOM SOME HOMEMADE FOOD FOR A COUPLE OF MEALS SO THAT WILL BE A NICE CHANGE FOR HER. ROB AND MARSH TOOK HER OUT FOR LUNCH AND SOME SHOPPING TODAY BUT THEIR TRIP GOT CUT A LITTLE SHORT BECAUSE THEY HAD TO GET BACK HERE FOR THE MOVE. IT HAS BEEN A VERY NICE AND VERY BUSY DAY JUST THE WAY WE LIKE IT. SEEMS PRETTY QUIET AND LONELY NOW THOUGH.

GOOD AFTERNOON,

CAN YOU BELIEVE ITS SUNDAY ALREADY? I STARTED MY DAY WITH 2 UNITS OF BLOOD, 1 UNIT OF PLATELETS AND SOME MAGNESIUM. MY NUMBERS ARE GETTING CLOSE TO ZERO SO I HAVE NO IMMUNITIES, HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET SICK ETC. THE NURSE SAID IT WILL TAKE 10 DAYS OR SO TO START GETTING SOME NUMBERS AGAIN. I'M FEELING GOOD TODAY, STILL BEING CAREFUL WITH THE FOOD IT EAT.

MARSHA ,ROB AND BOYS MADE IT DOWN, THEY TOOK MOM TO LUNCH BEFORE WE HAVE TO START MOVING TO MY OTHER ROOM. JEFF JUST CALLED, THEY TOO ARE COMING BY SO WE WILL HAVE ALL KINDS OF MOVING HELPERS.

ALAN ROBERTS IS HERE IN THE SAME HOSPITAL, HE IS HAVING BYPASS SURGERY ON MONDAY, SO I CALLED HIM AND TALKED TO HIM FOR AWHILE TOO BAD I COULDNT GO SEE HIM. I TOLD HIM HE'S IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, AND THAT WE WOULD MEET UP AT HOME REAL SOON!! HE SAID YES AND THERE WILL BE ONE HECK OF A PARTY! SO MARK YOUR CALENDERS .

GOOD MORNING,

I'M GETTING AROUND A LITTLE SLOW THIS AM, I'M ON THE VERGE OF SOME NA USIA/DIARRHEA AND REALLY DONT WANT TO ROCK THE BOAT. THE NURSE PRACTITIONER SAID IT IS ALL EXPECTED ABOUT NOW, THE CHEMO IS FINISHING RUNNING ITS COARSE AND THIS COULD BE THE NEXT STEP. THEY ARE DOING ALL THEY CAN TO PREVENT IT ALL FROM HAPPENING SO WE WILL SEE. OTHER THEN THAT I FEEL GREAT. I AM BLAMING IT ON THE FACT THAT I HAVENT EATEN FRENCH FRIES IN OVER 10 YRS AND I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THEM, I KNOW NOW THAT I WONT NEED TO EAT THEM FOR ANOTHER 10 YRS!!!! THE OTHER CRAVING I WAS HAVING WAS FOR A SNICKERS BAR, DONT THINK I WILL GO THERE EITHER!!

GOOD MORNING,

TGIF FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT KNOW WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS. DR. MARIS WAS IN THIS AM, GAVE ME THE THUMBS UP, EVEN TOLD ME TO START TRAINING FOR THE 2012 OLYMPICS!!! I TOOK THAT AS A GOOD SIGN, NOT THINKING OUT OF REASON BECAUSE I KNOW THAT NO ONE KNOWS HOW THINGS ARE GOING TO TAKE FOR SURE BUT IT SOUNDED GOOD FOR TODAY . MY NUMBERS ARE UP SO WE CAN WALK "OUTSIDE THE DOUBLE DOORS". WE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE BECAUSE MY NUMBERS WILL BE DROPPING EVERYDAY FROM NOW ON.

KATHY STOPPED BY THIS AM, SHE IS DOING GOOD, SHE GETS TIRED EASILY BUT LOOKED GOOD. SHE HAS A BONE BIOPSY ON MONDAY THAT WILL DETERMINE IF THE STEM CELLS ARE TAKING LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO, SO THAT IS WHAT I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO AROUND DAY + 30 (TODAY BEING DAY +2). SHE WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AT DAY +21 FOR THE REMAINDER OF HER 100 DAYS AS AN OUTPATIENT,SO ITS POSSIBLE THAT I COULD BE AN OUTPATIENT IN LESS THEN 20 DAYS!!!!LETS ALL PRAY FOR THAT.

I BROUGHT ALONG A FEW THOUSAND PHOTOS TO GET ORGANIZED IN PHOTO ALBUMS, I SHOULD HAVE SOME TIME TO WORK ON THEM DONT YOU THINK? COY IS GOING TO DROP THEM BY THIS AFTERNOON ON HIS WAY TO UNCLE HOWARDS TO PLAY IN A GOLF TOURNAMENT. BE SURE TO ASK ME HOW IM DOING WITH IT FROM TIME TO TIME.

HI EVERYONE,



MY FIRST DAY SINCE RECEIVING CELLS IS GOING GREAT. THE DOCTOR SAID I WAS A PRIZE PATIENT TODAY SO I'M GOING TO RUN WITH THAT. HE ASKED ME IF I GOT TIRED OF HEARING HIM TALK(ASKING ME "HOW ARE YOU QUESTIONS") BECAUSE HE SURE WAS TIRED OF HEARING HIMSELF. I DONT HAVE ANYTHING REAL SPECIAL THAT I HAVE TO DO OTHER THAN WAIT AND SEE HOW MY BODY AND THE NEW CELLS TAKE TO EACH OTHER. THEY SAY ABOUT 14-21 DAYS MIGHT GIVE US A CLUE. I HAVE A COUPLE OF ANTI-REJECTION DRUGS THAT I TAKE, ANTIOBIOTIC AND FOR 4 DAYS I HAVE ANOTHER VIAL OF CHEMO THEY GIVE. I JUST HAD MY FIRST VIAL OF CHEMO A FEW MINUTES AGO, THEY SAY IT SHOULDNT MAKE ME SICK.



I HAD A NICE SURPRISE THIS AFTERNOON, CLEO, GAY AND ABBY (ROBERTS) STOPPED IN TO SEE ME. FOLLOWED MY NORA THE CHAPLIN. WE ARE EXPECTING COY THIS AFTERNOON. JEFF WAS HERE TO ENTERTAIN US LAST NITE, WHAT A CARD HE CAN BE.

HI, I'M BACK COY IS HERE AND MY FRIEND STACI STOPPED BY, SHE SAID THAT THEY TOLD HER SHE MAY GET TO GO HOME AS EARLY AS NEXT WEEK(SHE WILL BE 21 DAYS OUT FROM TRANSPLANT BY THEN). THEY JUST MOVED FROM PARKER TO LITTLETON TO BE CLOSER TO THE HOSPITAL FOR WHEN SHE GETS OUT. THATS EXCITING NEWS. JUST TALKED TO DEBBIE HER TRANSPLANT IS SCHEDULED FOR THE FIRST OF OCT, AND WE HAVENT HEARD FROM KATHY FOR A WEEK OR SO, BUT SHE WAS DOING WELL THE LAST WE KNEW.

WED AUG 13,2008 PART 2

HELLO AGAIN,

I HAVE FINISHED RECEIVING MY CELLS AND ALL WENT AS PLANNED. I HAD PLENTY OF PRE-MEDS SO SHOULD BE ABLE TO SLEEP FOR AWHILE, NOW THAT THINGS HAVE SETTLED DOWN ALITTLE. NOW THE HARD PART, TO SEE IF THINGS WILL LATCH ON AND TAKE. WE DO KNOW THAT MY BLOOD TYPE CHANGED FROM A+ TO NOW O+, HE WAS ABLE TO PRODUCE ENOUGH CELL THAT I HAVE SOME FOR LATER IF NEED BE. WE DID SEE THAT HIS BLOOD WAS DRAWN YESTERDAY MST SO MAYBE HE ISNT THAT FAR AWAY. I'M HAVING A HARD TIME, I WANT TO MEET HIM SO I CAN THANK HIM BUT WE CAN HAVE NO CONTACT WITH THEM FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. HE WILL JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW THANKFUL I AM UNTIL I CAN TELL HIM MYSELF.

GOOD MORNING AND WELCOME TO MY SECOND B-DAY, I AM FINALLY RECEIVING MY NEW CELLS,THE PROCESS BEGAN AT 9:50 AM. I THOUGHT MOM WAS GOING TO DRAG THOSE PEOPLE DOWN HERE ANYWAY SHE COULD BEFORE IT WAS DONE. BUT EVERYTHING IS GOING VERY SMOOTH SO FAR AND THEY DONT EXPECT IT TO BE ANY DIFFERENT. GOOD MORNING,

YESTERDAY WAS NOT A REAL EVENTFUL DAY, FEELING A LITTLE SICK TO MY STOMACHE AND LAZY. MOM AND I WERE ABLE TO GO OUTSIDE AND WALK IN THE AFTERNOON. JEFF WAS HERE IN EVENING HAD SUPPER WITH US THEN WE WENT FOR ANOTHER WALK OUTSIDE, IT WAS SOOOO NICE WE DIDNT WASNT TO COME BACK IN.

THIS MORNING I GOT WORD THAT MY CELLS WONT BE HERE UNTIL AROUND 9:OO TONIGHT. SO WE HAVE ANOTHER DAY OF WAITING AN WONDERING. WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON OUR PROGRESS!!!

SAT-SUN AUGUST 17, 2008

Good Afternoon,

I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself that all my peeps left me. They left me here with what they want to be my new friend lasix, not real fair in my book!! Besides the only time my new friend lasix wants to play in at night while i'm trying to sleep. I have once again amazed the doctors and nurses with my weight gain, cant believe that i can spend all day in the bathroom getting rid of all the fluid that i did and still gain weight.Wow i am showing them!!!

Barb and Vickie are here and gone, time flys when your having fun. Thanks again for coming down, your the best!!!
Cousin Mike and Robin stopped by as well, always nice to see them.

I started my last 2 rounds of chemo sat ,it wanted to hit me kinda hard but i fought back kinda hard and won for the most part. I am waiting for the last dose right now.

Coy joined us for breakfast this morning then took mom to run some erronds. Hannah and luke are in iowa. Jeff and Tina called from Las Vegas, they were on their way home and were checking in on us.

HELLO AND TGIF,

WOW FRIDAY ALREADY, I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I HOPE THE TIME KEEPS FLYING BY, THEN I WILL BE OUT OF HERE IN NO TIME. NOT ALOT GOING ON HERE TODAY, ITS BEEN A RAINY, CLOUDY AND A LAZY DAY. I DO CONTINUE TO GAIN WATER WEIGHT I'M UP ABOUT 18 POUNDS, THERE ARE JUST A FEW THINGS THAT I KNOW HOW TO DO WELL!!!! MORE CHEMO, DAY AND NITE, UNTIL TOMORROW THEN I WILL ONLY GET A COUPLE DOSES OF A DIFFERENT KIND OVER THE WEEKEND. I NEED TO BE ON MY FAT TOES FOR MY COMPANY TOMORROW, BARB AND VICKIE SHOULD BE HERE AROUND NOON. CHARLENE IS ACROSS TOWN BUT CANT COME TO SEE ME BECAUSE SHE HAS A COLD!RATS! TONITE WE MAY HAVE GOTTEN BUSTED BY THE NURSE I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU ABOUT SO WILL GIVE HIM SOME TIME TO FORGET ABOUT MY BLOG THEN WE WILL PICK UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF!!!HAHAHA (HI MARK).

HOWDY FROM MY NEW ROOM HERE AT PSL JAIL, THEY WERE REALLY TESTING US WHEN THEY PUT US IN THE SMALLEST ROOM IN THE INTIRE UNIT. THE DOCTOR INFORMED US TODAY THAT THE RM WE WERE IN WAS THE RM THEY PUT PEOPLE THAT THEY DONT LIKE. HAHA ACTUALLY 2 OF THE REGULAR RMS OPENED UP AND WE MOVED. THE ADDRESS IS THE SAME BUT RM # IS 3402 AND PHONE # IS 303-839-6677. HANNAH,COY AND LUKE WERE HERE SO THEY HELPED US MOVE, LUCKILY ITS ONLY 2 DOORS DOWN.

LAST NITE MY CHEMO SCHEDULE GOT MESSED UP SO NOW I'M ON THE 4 AND 10 O'CLOCK, NOW MY 10 PM WONT GET OVER UNTIL ALMOST 1 AM THEN THEY DRAW LABS SO IT LOOKS LIKE I'M JUST GOING TO HAVE TO BE A NIGHT OWL WITH THE NITE SHIFT. I'VE BEEN INFORMED THAT I WILL BE HAVING MARK(LAST NITE I WAS THINKING HIS NAME WAS SCOTT) THE SAME NURSE AS LAST NITE, COULD BE FUN!!! I THINK I MIGHT LOAD UP ON THE FLUIDS SO WHEN HE WEIGHS ME I CAN SHOW HIM HOW THE WYO GIRLS CAN REALLY PACK ON THE POUNDS OVER NITE, EVEN IN THE HOSPITAL, EATING HOSPITAL FOOD!!!

NOT ALOT HAPPENING TODAY, WE WERE ABLE TO WALK OUTSIDE, HAD SOMEMORE CHEMO AND MOVED TO A DIFFERENT ROOM. OH YEA I WAS ABLE TO GET A LITTLE MORE SLEEP THIS AM, THAT WAS NICE. I'M STILL ENJOYING ALL THE BLOGS/E-MAILS/PHONE CALLS/MAIL AND VISITS FROM ALL OF YOU, THANKS FOR KEEPING ME AFLOAT.

GOOD EVENING,

LOOK I GOT THE MONTH RIGHT!!I DONT THINK I HAVE A REASON TO GO BACK IN TIME, LETS JUST CALL IT CHEMO BRAIN. I CANT EVEN KEEP TRACK OF HOW MANY CHEMO TREATMENTS I'VE HAD .I AM FOR SURE GETTING NUMBER 7 OF 16 EVEN AS WE SPEAK. I AM HOPING FOR A FEW MORE HOURS OF SLEEP TONITE, 4 HRS IN 2 DAYS IS CATCHING UP WITH ME TONITE. JUST THINK I HAVENT EVEN GOT MY NEW 23YR OLD BLOOD YET, MAYBE MY BODY IS PREPARING!!!HAHA MY NUMBERS ARE EXTRA HIGH TODAY SO I WAS ABLE TO GO OUTSIDE FOR A FEW MINUTE, MY NURSE FAILED TO TELL ME THAT SHE GAVE ME A DIARETIC IN MY IV BEFORE I LEFT NEEDLESS TO SAY MY TRIP OUTSIDE WAS CUTE EXTRA SHORT. I'VE HAD ALOT OF LITTLE THINGS LIKE THAT HAPPEN TO ME TODAY SO THEY ARE KEEPING ME ON MY TOES, AND THATS KINDA MEAN OF THEM BECAUSE OF ALL THE FLUIDS THAT I'M GETTING I HAVE AN EXTRA "FLUID" IN MY FEET TO BE EXACT WE ARE TALKING 11 LBS IN 2 DAYS, I CANT REALLY SAY ITS ALL IN MY FEET BUT A LARGE PORTION. AND TO GO WITH MY LUCK I HAD A NICE LOOKING MALE NURSE WEIGHING ME TONITE AND IN RETURN WE WERE GETTING HIS LIFES HISTORY HE WAS TELL MOM AND I THAT HE IS ENGAGED TO A NURSE HERE HE WASNT TELLING US THE NAME RIGHT OFF THE BAT SO I ASK HIM IF IT WAS A"MALE"BRIDE TO BE AND HE GOT A REAL CHARGE OUT OF THAT, IT WASNT LONG BEFORE HE WAS GIVING US THE GIRLS NAME!!!!(SHE ALSO WORKS HERE SO IM SURE HE WILL BE PASSING THIS STORY ONTO HER) OH YEA AND I FAILED TO TELL YOU THAT I ACCUSED HIS MALE FRIEND WORKING TONITE OF BEING THE "MALE BRIDE" AND ABOUT THAT TIME HE WALKED IN ON OUR CONVERSATION. GREETINGS FROM THE BIG CITY,

ANOTHER DAY GONE. HAPPY 40 TO JEFF ANY MANY MANY MORE!! WHAT A DAY IT HAS BEEN AROUND HERE. AFTER GETTING NO SLEEP LAST NITE WE'VE GONE STRONG ALL DAY. TONITE I AM GETTING SOME HELP WITH THE SLEEP THING CUZ I LITERALLY HAD AN ALL NITER ALCOHOL FREE!! BRIAN STAYED WITH ME AND DIDNT GET MUCH MORE SLEEP THEN ME, IS GUESS JUST THE STRESS OF EVERYTHING IS COMING TO A HEAD. BUT WE ARE ON TRACK NOW LET ME TELL YOU. THE AM STARTED OUT WITH A BLOOD TRANSFUSION, FOLLOWED BY MY 2ND ROUND OF CHEMO. THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST BROUGHT IN A BIKE FOR ME TO RIDE CUZ THERE IS NOT ALOT OF RM TO WALK AND THEY REALLY RECOMMEND THE LESS GERMS THE BETTER SO THEY DONT WANT ME AND MY FRIEND VISITING EACH OTHERS RMS AND A VERY SHORT HALLWAY FOR WALKING. ITS 8:30 AND I AM GETTING CHEMO NUMBER 3 OUT OF 16. MOM IS HERE WITH ME, BRIAN AND KAYLA WENT HOME THIS AFTERNOON. COY AND HANNAH WENT TO THE CAREGIVERS MEETING WITH MOM TONITE LUKE COULDNT COME IN, I CANT SEE THE LITTLE ONES UNTIL I AM AN OUTPATIENT IN A MONTH OR SO.MY COUNTS ARE STILL GOOD EXCEPT THE RED BLOOD SO I COULD HAVE GONE OUTSIDE TODAY BUT I AM GETTING FLUIDS (GAINED 7 POUNDS SO FAR) EVERYDAY NOW, SO WOULD HAVE HAD TO PULL THE POLE AROUND AND COVER UP FROM HEAD TO TOE TO PROTECT FROM THE SUN, THEN THE DAY JUST GOT AWAY FROM ME SO I WILL BE RIDING THE BIKE TONITE. I'M SO GLAD THAT I'M FELLING WELL ENOUGH TO BLOG THEY SAY NEXT WEEK I WONT FEEL SO GOOD. HAVE A GREAT WEEK, AND REMEMBER TO BLOG, I LOVE HEARING FROM EVERYONE. THANKS AGAIN, LOVE YA BRENDA

SAT THRU MON AUG 10

SAT- COY, HANNAH AND LUKE WENT TO COLO SPRINGS TO PELLAS(COYS WORK) COMPANY PICNIC SO I RESTED AND WAS LAZY TIL NOON THEN I STARTED GATHERING UP MY STUFF TO GO BACK TO PSL JAIL. THEY CAME HOME AND RESCUED ME ABOUT 4, WE HAD SOME SUPPER TOOK A WALK THEN SETTLED IN TO WATCHED TO OLYMPICS.

SUN- COY'S WENT TO CHURCH WHILE I FINISHED GETTING READY FOR MONDAY, WE WENT OUT FOR BRUNCH THEN LATER WENT TO JEFFS 40TH B-DAY PARTY WHERE WE MET UP WITH MOM, BRIAN AND KAYLA. THEY HAD A HORRIBLE TIME GETTING TO DENVER FOR ALL THE BIKERS, WHITE OUT RAIN AND ACCIDENTS ALONG THE WAY. WE HAD A GREAT EVENING AT JEFFS THEN RETURNED TO COYS FOR THE NIGHT.

MON-CAME OH SO FAST. KAYLA HAD TAKEN LIL LYNN(DOG)FOR A RUN, BRIAN, HANNAH AND I TOOK A WALK AND KAYLA MET UP WITH US TO FINISH OUT OUR 2 MILE LOOP, MOM WATCHING THE LITTLE MAN OF COURSE. WHEN I GOT HOME THERE WAS A MESSAGE FROM MY DONOR COORDINATOR THAT ALL WAS A GO WITH MY DONOR AND THAT THE SPINAL TAP CAME BACK CLEAN SO EVERYTHING WAS STILL A GO FOR ME TO CHECK INTO THE HOSPITAL FOR TRANSPLANT. THE GIRLS AND I THEN WENT TO GET MORE PICTURES DEVELOPED AND TO HIT KOHLS ONE LAST TIME. BY NOW IT IS TIME TO GET LOADED UP AND HEAD OUT STOPPING FOR ONE LAST TIME AT TACO BELL BEFORE JAIL.HAHAHA I CHECKED IN , LOTS OF INFORMATIONAL PAPER WORK ETC. WENT DOWN FOR A CHEST X-RAY I GUESS THEY WILL DO THIS EVERY MONDAY FROM NOW ON. I WILL GET THE ANTI-SEIZURE MED AT 10 TONITE, AND START CHEMO AT 6 AM. WOW HERE WE GO . THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR DAY MAY HAVE BEEN WHEN WE HEARD A KNOCK ON THE DOOR AND IT WAS KATHY AND STACI!!! THEY HAVE BOTH HAD THEIR TRANSPLANTS AND ARE DOING
GREAT. I REALLY NEEDED THAT BOOST!!! BRIAN IS STAYING WITH ME TONITE, MOM AND KAYLA WENT BACK TO COYS FOR THE NITE.

OKAY EVERYONE HERE WE GO WITH WHAT WE CAN ONLY HOPE IS MY FINAL ROUND BEING A CANCER PATIENT. I NEED YOU ALL MORE NOW THEN EVER AND I KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE THERE SO THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR LOVE, SUPPORT, PRAYERS, BLOGS, CALLS, VISITS, WELL WISHES AND THE LIST GOES ON.

Thrurs-Fri July, 2008

Good Evening

Sorry for the delay yesterday was kinda of a hard day. Jeff and Coy took me to my consent signing, All the tests from last week showed that i am healthy as a horse. Unfortunatly the bone marrow biopsy on monday showed that 20% of the cancer is back. And my donor has an elevated liver level, they are retesting him . Time will tell how this all works out.

This morning Coy took me to the clinic for a spinal tap, they then injected chemo into my spine. We then went to the hospital to repeat the c/t scan to check the spot on my lung.

We are then sent home to enjoy family and friends for the weekend before being admitted into psl jail.

WOW AUGUST 6TH ALREADY! I CANT BELIEVE HOW FAST THIS MONTH IS ALREADY FLYING BY. WE WERE ABLE TO SLEEP IN A LITTLE THE MORNING, HAVE SOME BREAKFAST, RUN DOWN AND GET SOME PICTURES DEVELOPED , GOT HOME AND PUT THEM RIGHT IN THE ALBUM (ARENT YOU PROUD OF ME)AND NOW I AM WATCHING LUKE WHILE HIS MOM AND DAD ARE OUT WITH THEIR FRIENDS FOR SOME GOLF AND PEDICURES. AND I GUESS I AM SO BORING THAT HE WOULD RATHER SLEEP THEN PLAY WITH ME, SO I AM GLAD YOU ARE ALL STILL READING THE BLOG BEFORE DRIFTING OFF TO SLEEP.HAHAHA ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR HANGING IN THERE WITH ME!!!

I CANT BELIEVE THAT I MISSES RALLY WEDNESDAY!!! THAT WAS ALWAYS A FUN FILLED DAY FOR OUR LITTLE TOWN FOR MOST OF US. WHAT IF MY 23 YR OLD DONOR IS A BIKER SUPPOSE I WILL WANT A BIKE?HAHAHAHA I COULD HAVE EVEN PULLED OFF THE BALD THING THIS YEAR. I DONT KNOW ITS STARTING TO GROW BACK .

HELLO,

HI FROM SOUTH FLANDERS STREET. HANNAH, LUKE AND I SLEPT IN, ATE SOME BREAKFAST THEN TOOK OUR 2 MILE WALK. DID A LITTLE SHOPPING, WHILE WE WERE IN WALMART IT STARTED RAINING AND HAILING SO HARD THAT WE HAD TO STAY IN THE BUILDING UNTIL IT WAS OVER. WE HAD SOME SUPPER, NOW ITS TIME TO GO TO BED. THE TIME IS FLYING BY, THIS TIME NEXT WEEK I WILL HAVE STARTED CHEMO.

Monday August 4

GREETINGS FROM COLO,I JUMPED IN WITH MELISSA AND HEADED BACK TO COLO THIS AM. HAD A BONE BIOPSY THIS AFTERNOON, HANNAH CAME TO CLINIC TO PICK ME UP. WE CAME BACK TO COY AND HANNAHS WHERE I WILL BE STAYING UNTIL NEXT MONDAY WHEN I CHECK INTO THE HOSPITAL.BRIAN AND KAYLA WILL BRING MOM DOWN THIS WEEKEND FOR JEFFS 40TH B-DAY PARTY. SHE WILL BE STAYING UNTIL THE FIRST OF SEPTEMBER,THEN SHE WILL GO HOME AND GO BACK TO WORK FOR 7J OUTFITTERS. BRIAN THEN WILL BE STAYING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER WITH ME. AM I LOVED OR WHAT? I GUESS I STARTED BABYSITTING AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE THAT MAYBE ITS NOT SO ABNORMAL FOR ME TO NEED "BIG GIRL SITTING AT 41". I'M JUST SO THANKFUL FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN MY LIFE. GREETINGS FROM HAPPY TO BE HOME,

WED-MOM AND I LEFT DENVER AT 6:15 AM, BRIAN AND KAYLA WERE HOME WAITING FOR US. KAYLA PREPARED A WONDERFUL HOMECOMING SUPPER.

THUR-SPENT RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CRAZY BALD WOMEN HAVING THE TIME OF HER LIFE. WENT TO THE CONCERT AT THE FAIR HAD A BLAST ALL DAY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

FRI- MORE RUNNING AROUND, STARTED AT THE HOSPITAL GETTING SOME LABS DONE, THOSE STINKING PLATELETS ARE NOT COMING UP VERY FAST BUT NOT LOW ENOUGH FOR TRANSFUSION, THANK GOODNESS. THEN WENT TO THE DENTIST FOR FULL MOUTH X-RAYS. WENT TO PIG WRESTLING, WHERE KAYLA, JODI AND MELISSA ARE THIS YEARS CROOK COUNTY FAIR PIG WRESTLING CHAMPIONS!!!! CAME BACK TO MOMS FOR OUR ANNUAL SPAGHETTI SUPPER THEN OFF TO THE DANCE WE WENT. FUN WAS HAD BY ALL.

SAT- WENT TO THE PARADE TO SEE AUNT DONNA , UNCLE ROGER, JODI AND MIKKA HEADING THE SHOW. AUNT DONNA AND UNCLE ROGER WERE PARADE MARSHALLS, JODI DROVE AND MIKKA WAS SITTING PRETTY IN THE BACK WITH GRANDMA AND GRANDPA. I HAD LUNCH AT AUNT EVAS. BACK OUT TO MOMS WERE THEY WERE HAVING LUNCH WITH AUNT MARLYS,UNCLE FRANK AND COUSIN MIKE. THEN BRIAN, KAYLA AND I WENT TO THE RANCH RODEO, COME BACK HOME HAD STEAK DINNER THAT MOM HAD PREPARED FOR US. MOM, BRIAN,KAYLA,MELISSA(KAYLAS FRIEND)AND I WENT TO THE STREET DANCE.

SUN-WE PLAN TO GO TO THE KIDS RODEO TO WATCH MIKKA. GRANDMA IRENE IS COMING TO WATCH AND THATS WHEN WE WILL GET TO SEE HER. THEN I WILL BE GETTING READY TO HEAD BACK TO DENVER WITH MELISSA EARLY MONDAY AM.
